Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

So, I thought I would give you an example of what I do for my Bible times/Quiet Times with God. I hope that by me posting this God would get glory and you would draw ever more nearer to Him. Having Bible times daily has greatly impacted my walk with God and I highly recommend that if you don't already have a Bible time daily, then you start. These are just a few ideas, you do not have to do it like me of course :) I have found when you create an atmosphere  for Bible time where you want to be, then you will want to come back. So, that is what I do. I turn on soft worship music, light a few candles, get a snack or a hot drink and just start reading a passage, and then I journal what I got out of the passage.  Your time will be so much more productive if you put some thought into your Bible times, than if you just  go to the middle of the house where every one is chatting and or raising there voice(anyone have 5 brothers:-) and it is messy I personally think that it is harder to concentrate on the Bible if you do not make it a point to put a little time and effort in to it. Although, I said all of that I know that there are busy Mommy's of young kiddos and such who do not have time for a long drawn out Bible time and there is no where in the house that is quiet so dont feel bad:) God knows where you are at! I would love to hear about how you all have your quiet times...What do you do?

Here are some scriptures about having Bible time.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

1 Peter 2:2-3 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

Bible Study

About a week back I invited Kate over(a very sweet friend of mine) and had a little Bible study with her and really enjoyed it, so we decided we should do it once a week...We memorize a scripture a week read certain chapters and then get together to share what the Lord has shown us through those Bible verses, then we do some kind of devotional:-) It has been an amazing time! So, tonight we did it again...we talked about the beautiful exchange of giving our lives for Jesus, and how beautiful it truly is....We challenged each other tonight to give up one activity this week that was not furthering our relationship with the Lord and use that time in Gods word and in prayer:-) Kate's love for the Lord is so very sweet, and I can not wait to see what God does in her live in the weeks to come. Love you Kate:)

My Week At Ellerslie

 Hello Dear Lovely Friends :-)

 I hope you are enjoying the start of your week. I know I am! So, last Monday I went to Ellerslie and returned home on Sunday). I had such a lovely time meditating on Jesus, from the time I woke up to the time going to bed, it is a very beautiful place, every thing is centered around our King there. Such a beautiful thing.

It was so encouraging to be in the presence of the Lord, and to have so many other people that are so passionate about Jesus around you. I so enjoyed Ellerslie in so many ways, the sweet fellowship with other devoted Christians, seeing the men open the doors for all of us girls and take our plates for us after dinner and doing it in such a pure and God centered way. Spending time with Jesus, learning more about Him, spending time worshiping Him. Talking about and hearing about God every where I turn, sweet times of talking with other ladies over tea, hearing such good preaching, and so many other things that went on were so awesome:-) I learned so much in just the short time I was there.http://www.ellerslie.com/Home.html

We went on a walk where they asked us not to talk with one another so we could put our focus on Jesus and meditate on Him. After the walk we had a picnic and some wonderful fellowship!
